Across his career he has worked as a musician, presenter, producer, Executive Producer, Event Director and a Senior Manager at the BBC. Mike is one of the UK and Irelands most experienced Senior Production figures in the world of Music Entertainment and Events.

Prior to setting up MEP he was a member of the BBCs Music and Entertainment boards. He was also Head of Entertainment, Music, Events and Sport for BBC NI.

Across her career Sam has specialised in business affairs and public relations with an array of music, media and broadcast related companies in London and Belfast.

Prior to setting up MEP Sam worked in Business affairs within BBC Northern Ireland specialising in contractual negotiations and agreements relating to artists, fees, clearances, rights and legals.

Experience across Television, Radio, online and digital streaming platforms plus Record and Publishing industry.

Prior to working at BBC Sam worked in Business affairs for EMI Records in London working with a variety of acts including Duran Duran, Iron Maiden, Kate Bush, Queen, Marillion, Dave Gilmour, Kraftwerk, Paul McCartney, Talking Heads, Pet Shop Boys, Scorpions, Talk Talk, Tina Turner and many others of the period.

Sam started her music career working for DJM publishing, Records and Studios in London.

The company was owned and run by the legendary music publisher Dick James. Amongst others the company published Beatles Northern Songs, Michael Jackson, Elton John and Irish band Horslips.

Sams organisational experience has taken her on a journey from EMI International conference’s through to large scale broadcast events with recent credits including Snow Patrol Ward Park 3, The Northern Ireland Music Prize and Making Hope and History Rhyme with Keynote speaker President Bill Clinton.

Honours and Awards

Mike Edgar recently received an OBE in the Kings Birthday Honours list. This was in recognition of his broadcast planning and Executive production on Live National and worldwide output following the death of HM Queen Elizabeth II and other national events. He also recently received the award for ‘Outstanding Contribution to Music in Northern Ireland’.

He has been the recipient of a variety of Broadcast awards including; Royal Television Society Awards, Sony Awards, Hot Press Awards, NI Entertainment and Media Award and the Vincent Hanley Irish National Broadcaster of The Year Award.
