Music City Connections: The Ulster Orchestra and Guests (BBC)

Mike Edgar Production produced this one-off special in 2023 for BBC with the Ulster Orchestra celebrating Belfast’s new status as a ‘UNESCO City of Music’. The programme was presented by Dana Masters.

MEP placed the Ulster Orchestra in various historic locations such as the Titanic Drawing Offices, The Assembly Buildings, The Folk and Transport Museum, the legendary Ulster Hall and Belfast’s oldest standing church on the Shankill Road.

Performing with the orchestra were Niamh Dunne, Jordan Adetunji and Dani Larkin who collectively took us on a journey of folk, hip/hop and trad.

The orchestra also took us on a journey of classical to ragtime with a little John Williams thrown in for good measure. The programme aired on BBC Northern Ireland and is also available nationally on the BBC iPlayer.
